This week has been incredibly insane. I have 3 midterms this next week, and just due to life issues I’m behind on my courses. I basically didn’t even go home this week, so I’ve been trying to eat very minimally from outside sources. Tonight is the first night I can take a moment and to actually eat something according to the HCG diet. Still, somehow I broke my 150 plateau and I’m now 149. Definitely was really happy to see that on the scale yesterday. Even if I fail my midterms, nothing could bring me down from cloud nine right now.

WEIGHED MYSELF AT 150.0 THIS MORNING

So I ran out of food yesterday, so I broke the diet slightly by getting a sparse salad at chipotle for my food. The previous 2 I basically was suck at 152.4 and I was beginning to feel very discouraged. So, this morning seeing the scale at 150 felt amazing. This diet is a miserable experience, but seeing the numbers fall is worth it. :)

I have literally outdone myself. This was one of the most amazing dishes I’ve ever made! Half of a sweet potato with honey, haricots vert (green beans), salmon with dill (salt and pepper) and topped with mushrooms and fresh garlic with olive oil. MMMM

OMG this looks so good. Im definitely making this after my 40 days are done. <3 O.O

After three days of tweaking HGC&#8217;s chili i finally found a method that tastes great. The recipe calls for beef normally, but I hate beef. So here is the recipe to my turkey chili:

 100 grams extra lean ground turkey
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup canned diced tomatoes chili ready
Onion (I actually forgot this ingredient)
Coconut oil
Chili powder
Garlic powder
Paprika
Salt &amp; pepper
Whatever other seasoning sounds great

Heat a small pot with coconut oil
Put in the ground turkey and chicken broth. Stir a bit..let it cook for a few minutes on medium heat.
Put in the tomatoes and reduce it to just above low heat. 
Add in spices when you like, and I kept the lid on the pot until the majority of the moisture had cooked out.

My mostly eaten &#8220;chicken tacos&#8221;. I still think chicken breast is the worst&#8230;. I really want to eat mustard with this.. Tons of mustard.

I suspect my blood sugar was extremely low this morning. I was a little shaky and felt much better after I ate an apple for breakfast,  I cannot wait until these 40 days are over. I plan on attending and swimming for my swim class, but not participating for Pilates. 
Anywho, I weighed myself this morning at 152.6.
I would have preferred 151, but I&#8217;ll take what I get.

Day 1 Recap

Day 1 of the vlcd portion of the HCG diet was in credibly difficult because I just developed a severe head cold and it rained on my campus yesterday. I live in sunny southern California. For some reason architects here have never dreamed that water could fall from the heavens. So you’ll never find a covering over a shuttle stop, or any form of refuge as you run along campus. Actually, I suspect them of strategically laying out the cement pathways to collect water just to troll all the poor souls who chose not to wear rain boots that morning,
Anyways, running round in the rain with a cold and only eating total of 500 calorie foods I made jthe night before made for a depressing day.
My last class gets out at about 7pm and instead of staying to paint I chose immediately to go home to rest. I tried cooking my chicken tacos in a the oven for today and just remade the turkey chili with some different spices. Then I took refuge in finishing up single player Portal 2 before passing out.
The good side to things is that I weighed myself this morning at 153.4. So I’ve lost a few lbs and that feels good.
